The Honor Magic 2 is an exclusive smartphone to China markets, however it’s a very compelling device and will pave the way for future smartphones. it’s a slider design, six cameras, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and a notch-free bezel-less display.

Honor Magic 2

The Honor Magic 2 comes in a blue cardboard box with the phone’s outline written on top – with the slider mechanism extended, of course. we disclosed the best bit in the contents – the Huawei SuperCharge fast charger, capable of supplying 40W of power to the phone. It takes a proprietary cable to try and do the trick and one is included.

There’s additionally a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter bundled, that is the next best thing after truly having a 3.5mm jack on the phone. a pleasant treat awaits inside the sleeve that holds the warranty and different paperwork – Honor’s thrown in a very hard case to safeguard (but also hide) the shiny back.

Pros

  • it is a slider, how cool is that?
  • wonderful battery life, 1-hour fast charging.
  • all-round smart display.
  • excellent monochrome camera.

Cons

  • typically unimpressive image quality.
  • dull video quality, no electronic stabilization.

Verdict

Looking back on the time we spent with the honour Magic 2, it’s clearly not a nasty phone. It’s got a very smart display, battery life is plenty, and… we might sound like a broken record here, but… it is a slider!

It has, however, failed us in a locality we hold dear, and that is despite packing plenty of hardware – 6 cameras are fine and dandy, however the end results are just passable. Alright, the monochrome photos are literally pretty nice, however that is 1 out of 6.

The issue is, you can never have it all. If you are after one amongst the coolest designs out on the market currently, 5 out of 6 uninspiring cameras should not stop you.
